Prayer to St. Peregrine
O great St. Peregrine, you who have called "The Mighty," "The Wonder-Worker" because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you, you who for so many years bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fiber of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more; you who were favored with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction, ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of these sick persons whom we entrust to you.
(Pause here and silently recall the names of the sick persons for whom you are praying.)
Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sings to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy.

Saint Peregrine
St. Peregrine
St. Peregrine Laziosi was rich, he was born in Forli, Italy, in 1260. Peregrine was a member of the antipapal party. One day he hit St. Philip Benizi and St. Benizi turned the other cheek for Peregrine to hit. St. Peregrine was so overcome that he repented and became a Catholi. He revieved visions from the Blessed Mother instructint him to go to join the Servites. He inflicted great penance upon himself, such as not allowing himself to sit for thirty years. He was a fervent preacher and fantastic confessor. The reason he is invoked for cancer sufferers is because he had cancer of the foot. The doctor told him his foot would need to be amputated. The night before the operation he spent the night in prayer. The following morning he was completely cured. This miracle is remembered by those invoking him for their cancer and other ailments.
