Prayer for Priests
Keep them, I pray Thee, dearest Lord,
keep them, for they are Thine -
Thy priests whose lives burn out
before Thy consecrated shrine.
Keep them, for they are in the world,
though from the world apart;
when earthly pleasures tempt, allure -
shelter them in Thy heart.
Keep them, and comfort them
in hours of loneliness and pain,
when all their lives of sacrifice
for souls seems but in vain.
Keep them, and O remember, Lord,
they have no one but Thee,
yet they have only human hearts,
and with human frailty.
Keep them as spotless as the Host,
that daily they caress;
their every thoughts and word and deed,
Deign, dearest Lord, to bless.

Pray for Priests
O Jesus, Eternal Priest, look down with love upon Thy priests. Fill them with burning zeal for the conversion of sinners. Keep them within the shelter of Thy Sacred Heart. Keep unstained their anointed hands. which daily touch Thy Sacred Body. Keep unsullied their lips purpled with Thy precious Blood. Keep pure and unearthly their hearts sealed with the sublime marks of Thy glorious Priesthood. Let Thy holy love protect them from the world's contagion. Bless their labors with abundant fruit, and may the souls to whom they minister on earth be one day their joy and consolation in heaven their beautiful and everlasting crown. Amen.
O Mary, Queen of the clergy, pray for us; obtain for us a number of holy priests. Amen.

If you have a favorite priest pray for him at daily, put him on your list to remind you.
I have a favorite priest: Father Corapi, maybe I did'nt pray for him enough, I am sorry Father. Once a priest always a priest, and don't bother sending me a letter about Father Corapi, he was targeted, plain and simple and if you have not realized that the our holiest most vocal priests are being targeted and harmed, then you are blind and it's partially our fault, because we are too busy watching TV and shopping instead of praying for our poor priests. Please have mercy on our priests.
Priests need our prayers and our loving kindness, desperatly, not later tomorrow, but NOW! They need our patience also, they are not perfect, and neither are we.
Pick a priest that you like or better yet...one you don't and pray for him daily. Adopt him, so to speak, offer Mass for him, do penance for him and help him to fulfill his duty to help us get to heaven. Even if all you have to spare is take five minutes a day, you can make his life so much better by praying for him.
